BreastScreen Aotearoa mortality study published internationally

The findings of a major study of breast screening in New Zealand have been published internationally.
The study, published in the British Journal of Cancer, was commissioned by the National Screening Unit and carried out by researchers from the Universities of New South Wales, South Australia and Otago.
First published in 2015, the study confirmed BreastScreen Aotearoa is reducing the rate of death from breast cancer for women screened in the programme.
