BreastScreen Auckland’s new centre puts consumer needs first

The need to relocate their services created a rare opportunity for the screening provider to put consumers’ needs at the heart of the building design process.
“A mammogram appointment should be as easy and relaxed as possible,” says Debbie Van Ryswyk, General Manager, BreastScreen Auckland. “Which is why our consumers’ needs have driven all the design and fit-out features of our new centre.”
The purpose-built centre contains a mammography screening suite, designed to ensure that screening appointments work as efficiently as possible. Spacious mammogram rooms, private change facilities, contemporary waiting areas and comfortable interiors have also been created to promote a relaxing and calm environment.
“What’s more, all screening services and staff are located under one roof, which promotes best possible care outcomes, particularly for those needing to access our diagnostic services,” says Debbie
The new BreastScreen Auckland Centre also provides plenty of onsite parking for those visiting the centre. It is situated alongside other medical providers, and can be found at Level 2, 12 St Marks Road, Remuera, Auckland.
