Whanganui bowel screening team marks successful first year

At least eleven Whanganui residents have had cancers detected since the national bowel screening programme was introduced a year ago. As noted in a write up in the local paper, the programme has achieved an overall participation rate of 67 percent, way above the national target of 60 percent participation.
