This diagram guides you through the antenatal screening for Down syndrome and other conditions screening process.

This flowchart outlines that screening is optional; there are two options for screening (first and second trimester); screening results are sent to your Lead Maternity Carer (LMC) or GP; an individual whose result shows an increased risk will be offered referral to an Obstetrician to discuss further diagnostic testing.
