World AIDS day, 1 December 2011

1 December is World AIDS Day. Established in 1988 by the World Health Organization, World AIDS Day has been running for the last 23 years.

Between 2011 and 2015, World AIDS Days will have the theme of "Getting to Zero: Zero new HIV infections. Zero discrimination. Zero AIDS-related deaths".
