Screening histories should be sourced from Regional Services sites, as usual.
The new colposcopy policies and standards (Section 6: Providing a colposcopy service) came into effect on 1 July 2013.
In accordance with these standards a new colposcopy form should be used. Copies of the form and the data dictionary which explains the data items are available to download.
Accessing the NCSP Register
Colposcopy services are strongly encouraged to access the Register online, if they do not do so already.
To access the National Cervical Screening Programme Register the following is required.
- Access to the Connected Health Network
- a digital security certificate
- a completed NCSP Register User Access Request form (PDF, 151 KB).
Access to Connected Health Network
The application to connect to the Connected Health Network can be accessed on the Ministry of Health Connected Health web page.
Application for a Digital Certificate
Digital certificates are installed on your computer and add a level of security when you’re accessing our secure online systems.
You need submit two forms to be issued a digital certificate – the first registers your organisation, and the second is an application for your organisation to have a digital certificate issued to your site (this can then be used for all users at your site).

A completed NSCP Register User Access request form is required.
What happens next?
Once you’ve successfully applied for a digital certificate with the NZHSRA, HealthLink will send your certificate to you by courier. The Register Central Team will work with your organisation and provide information on how to access the Register, including basic user instructions.
