Cancer Screening Training for New Health Promoters:

Held annually depending on the need.
All health promoters new to the cancer screening programmes will be informed via their Managers about this training.

Orientation Support:

Health Promoters new to the BSA Programme can access training through BSA Lead Providers. The training should cover orientation and overview of the entire screening pathway, which may include (based on consent of women) following a woman through a routine mammogram process, observing assessment procedures and being invited to the MDT and results procedures. Your Manager is able to arrange this informal training.

Support can be provided by experienced health promoters/providers within the Breast & Cervical Screening Programmes – make contact with the other health promoters in your region to assist with your orientation.
