The National Screening Unit's vision is for ‘high-quality, equitable and accessible national screening programmes’.

The National Screening Unit aims to improve health and reduce inequalities. The Unit seeks to provide opportunity for all eligible people, particularly those who are Māori or Pacific, to take part in organised screening programmes that best meet their needs. The Unit is currently in the process of finalising its 2010-2015 Strategic Plan. The plan will be available on this website shortly.
